This sturdy vise is a Wilton machinist bullet vise, model 9400 with a swivel base. Swivel locks are original with the hexagonal bottom, handles still present but bent as is common with these vises. Swivel base, marked 135 on the bottom, is functional. The vise is marked 9400 on one side and HD on the other, Wilton Chicago USA on both sides. The four inch jaws open smoothly, marked on the slide key with 11-53 for a 1953 production. Gray paint with heavy wear throughout, some red and green marks. Hefty 49.2 pound weight. Great vintage condition, functioning nicely, cosmetic wear to jaws and paint as shown in pictures, bent handles as mentioned previously, end cap present with no dents, minimal rust. This one is what you make of it: bolt it to your bench and get ready to work, or do a tiny bit of restoration and really make it shine! Please see pictures for further information on condition.
